Leveraging a Standardized Project Plan Across Projects
Now it’s time to make the rubber meet the road. An effective, easy-to-use (and understand) project plan keeps your project efforts and team members on track. Once again, utilizing the instructional development model along with the project workflow as reference, I utilize a project plan template that leverages a standard work breakdown structure (WBS) that can be used on every project.
This WBS covers tasks throughout a project’s lifecycle; and pre-assigning roles to each task enables quick task assignment and responsibilities when it’s time to execute.
Managing multiple projects for multiple clients requires this level of management. Teams stay on track and, more importantly, critical tasks are completed on time instead of falling through the cracks.
The project planning tool depicted here is TeamGantt. I find this online tool to be very easy to use to collaborate across multiple team members and clients.
