Now that you have a basic idea on how I use the instructional design process to drive projects to completion, let’s take a few minutes to review a few project samples. As any instructional designer can attest, working in a corporate setting can sometimes be a bit demanding (and very exciting).

Why? Generally, Instructional Designers are a curious lot. And when we’re pulled into the conference room because a manager thinks they need “training” for their team, we start asking questions. Most of the time, this is where we start utilizing our analysis and assessment skills to make sure were working on the right thing at the right time. The next thing that happens is we uncover quite a few business needs. And any time we’re presented with a business need we put on our ID cap and start digging for skills or knowledge gaps (refer to my PIW).

Combine all this with our ability to design and develop a myriad of technology-based solutions and an ID can find themselves creating a lot more than just “training”. Click the Next button above to explore a few of my project samples.
