DELL Systems Management eLearning

DELL Systems Management eLearning

After analyzing this project with SMEs and key players, we determined our Internal Sales Reps (ISRs) required a better understanding on how to explain and demonstrate selling Dell's System Management IT strategies and software.

For this project:

  • I served as the Instructional Designer working closely with DELL's America's Learning and Development group to analyze, assess and derive the appropriate goals and objectives for this training

  • I wrote the script and worked directly with SMEs to confirm all content was accurate and directly applicable to increasing the ISR’s sales competencies

  • I lead the development team to ensure all visuals and content delivery strategies met the instructional goals/objective, and aligned with our client's demands

To get a better idea of the design and development strategies, review the design document on the left, and then play the introduction on the right.

Scenario-Based eLearning Activities

To meet equip the ISR to explain and demonstrate, it was necessary to assess their knowledge using in-depth scenarios that reflect real-world conversations. Here is an example of a learning interaction that outlines Jack Steerman's virtual conversation with an ISR:

Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events, is purely coincidental.

System Management Cheet Sheet

eLearning is highly effective. Ruth Clarke has plenty of evidence-based research that proves this point. However, folks get busy, and in the case of this particular audience, they needed all the help they can get to retain this content. Therefore, we created an informational cheet sheet that helped them compare and contrast Microsoft's System Management Server to other solutions.
